We’re excited to announce that Ron Shaull has joined Haggan Aviation as Chief Inspector. With nearly 30 years of experience across aviation, aerospace, defense, hydro, steam, and nuclear power systems, Ron brings deep expertise in quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Ron earned his Airframe and Power Plant License from Emily Griffith School in 1999. He furthered his education with a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2010.  

Throughout his impressive career, Ron has held pivotal roles at Frontier Airlines and Lockheed Martin, where he played a key part in driving efficiency, leading teams, and ensuring the highest industry standards. His expertise is reinforced by multiple prestigious certifications, including Six Sigma Black Belt, Nondestructive Testing Level III, and Certified NQA-1 & ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. Throughout his career, he has also been honored with several awards, including AMT FAA "Diamond Award, Lockheed Martin Spot Award, Lockheed Martin Special Recognition Award, Toshiba Power Systems Division "ASHITA" Award,  and the Frontier Airlines Phase Awards: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Ruby Awards. 

Beyond his professional achievements, Ron is an adventurer at heart. Outside of work, Ron enjoys off-roading in his Jeep, fishing, restoring vehicles, and traveling. His passion for exploration and excellence is sure to be an incredible asset to our team.

Haggan Aviation Welcomes Tony Dultz as New Director of Business Development

Tony Dultz comes to Haggan Aviation as a performance driven professional with a lengthy, 30-year career in aviation, combining both military and corporate experience with a focus on customer satisfaction and personnel management. He has lead teams through combat situations and challenging projects while ensuring safety and technical compliance.

In his military career, he served as Crew Chief on the A-10A, F-15C/D, C-130H and briefly on the C-21(Lear 35). His other military roles included Senior Maintenance Controller, Base Facility Manager and Aircraft Accessories Superintendent. One of Tony’s career highlights was being selected as the Production Supervisor for the Night Vision upgrade and modification for all Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves A-10A aircraft.

Tony retired from the military in 2020 and joined Collins Aerospace as a Program Operations Manager in Mission Systems. There, he lead a team of engineers through design, test, production, and delivery of satellite thermo-controls. He also has worked at Bombardier as a Customer Care Field Support Rep handling non-technical issues such as: invoicing, customer communication, soft goods repairs, cabin upgrade projects and warranty issues. Additionally, he attained Challenger 300/350  maintenance training certification at the Forth Worth CAE.

Tony has two degrees from American Intercontinental University. One in Human Resource Management and the other in Aviation Science.

Tony and his wife moved from Connecticut to Colorado a year ago. In his free time, he competes in endurance mountain bike races, and also enjoys woodworking. Together, they enjoy hiking, skiing, camping and travel.

His military awards include: Meritorious Service Medal, multiple Commendation Medals, and the Armed Forces Service Medal.

Haggan Aviation Appoints Chris Haight as VP of Operations

Haggan Aviation today announced the appointment of Chris Haight as the company’s new Vice President of Operations. In his new role, Mr. Haight will lead maintenance, avionics, interior/paint, quality control, and other operational functions. He will report to the CEO, Geno Haggan.

Mr. Haight has a rich aviation background and brings nearly three decades of industry expertise to Haggan Aviation. He is a highly accomplished and results-oriented executive with a proven history of leading organizations, driving profitability, and achieving significant business development and sales growth. Prior to his role as Vice President at Haggan Aviation, he held the position of General Manager for a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility where he was accountable for and provided oversight to business operations for aircraft major repairs, maintenance, alterations, composites, avionics, and paint.

Before his tenure as General Manager, Chris Haight was Director for a government contract company operating as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. His leadership was pivotal in defining guidance responsibilities, effective communication, and setting exemplary standards.

Mr. Haight's contributions to the industry have been recognized with several accolades, including commendations from the Colorado Department of Labor, a recognition award from Hawker Beechcraft, and multiple honors from the U.S. Government, including Meritorious Unit Commendations and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals.

Chris Haight’s extensive educational background includes two undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Network Engineering from Arkansas State University and Ashworth College. In addition, he holds a Project Management Professional certification, APICS CPIM certification in production and inventory management, Six Sigma certification, OSHA/EPA authorizations, and Level II NDI and Airframe & Powerplant licenses.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Haight has loved the Colorado Rockies for the past 20 years, where he enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.

Haggan Aviation Partners with Aviation Clean Air (ACA) for an Air Cleaning System that Improves Air Quality in Aircraft Cabin

Haggan Aviation has partnered with Aviation Clean Air (ACA) for the system installation data and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) ionic air cleaning system. The system will help protect passengers, flight crew, medevac patients, and animals from airborne and surface pathogens.

How does it work?

The ionization cleaning system functions electronically by creating positive and negative ions that form from hydrogen and oxygen molecules in the water vapor present in the air and work as a cleaning agent to purify the air and surfaces. The technology replicates and accelerates nature’s cleaning process that successfully inactivates airborne and surface viruses. This is a 100% replication of nature’s cleaning process. Nothing else is added.

Certified by the FAA

This is a patented Ionization Purification System certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for aircraft installation. The proactive system, which operates through the aircraft’s existing environmental control system (ECS) and functions automatically whenever the ECS is running, immediately improves interior air quality, eliminates odors, and kills pathogens in the air and on surfaces wherever they live throughout the cabin and cockpit of the aircraft.

How effective is it?

These airborne and ground units stop the spread of up to 99.9% of airborne and surface pathogens, including COVID-19, and can be used for all models of both business and commercial aircraft. Haggan Aviation Donates Plane to Local School

It’s not every day that you see a plane rolling down the streets of your town.

In the early morning on Sept 19th, Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) received quite a large delivery.

Haggan Aviation donated a Learjet 35 to Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) for students to learn about the mechanics jet planes.

The plane set its wheels on the ground and took on a three-mile journey along local city streets of Colorado to a crowd of CCIC students, staff, families, friends, and locals. Onlookers watched as the massive plane was towed from Haggan Aviation at Centennial Airport to the Campus which took about 45 minutes.

 “We are excited to be contributing to educating these students and making an impact to those who have an interest in aviation,” stated Geno Haggan, founder of Haggan Aviation. “By donating this Learjet 35, we are providing these students with the real-life hands-on experience of a plane that they may have not otherwise experienced. We are helping to elevate these students to the next level.”

 The Learjet joins the school’s fleet of four propeller aircraft and one helicopter. The Learjet is no longer airworthy, and the engines and some systems have been removed, but it is still an extremely valuable learning and teaching tool.

The Learjet 35, which took first flight in 1973, is an aircraft used for both civilian and military purposes. They are powered by two engines, two pilots, and can seat six to eight passengers. They are approximately 48 ft. long, 12 ft. high, with a 39 ft. wingspan and can reach a maximum speed of 471 kn (542 mph). A jet plane versus a propeller plane is very different and the students will definitely benefit from learning the differences and the mechanics behind them.

 CCIC is a state-of-the-art, college-and-career-focused facility that opened in 2019. It serves 10th-, 11th- and 12th-grade students from across the Cherry Creek School District, providing them with transformative educational experiences and real-world, hands-on learning. Students can take classes and earn industry certifications in seven career pathways: Advanced Manufacturing, Business Services, Health & Wellness, Hospitality & Tourism, Infrastructure Engineering, IT & Steam and Transportation, which includes Automotive Technology as well as Aviation Maintenance and Aviation Flight.
